The Raymore-Peculiar School District is proud to recognize Board Vice President Janet Jones for earning her Master Board Member Certification through the Missouri School Boards' Association (MSBA). Jones was formally recognized for this achievement during the MSBA Summer Summit.
The Master Board Member Certification is awarded to school board members who demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development and effective educational governance through extensive training and continued learning. Since being elected to the Board of Education in April 2024, Jones has dedicated significant time and effort to strengthening her knowledge and leadership skills in service to the district's students, staff, and community.
In April 2026, Jones was selected by her fellow board members to serve as Vice President of the Board of Education. Her achievement reflects the district's ongoing commitment to strong governance and informed decision-making.
Joining in the celebration was Board President Ruth Johnson, who has earned MSBA's highest level of board member training, Distinguished Certification. Johnson also serves on the MSBA Council of Past Presidents following her tenure as statewide MSBA President. Together, the district's board leadership exemplifies a dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in public education.
The district congratulates Janet Jones on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her continued service and leadership on behalf of Raymore-Peculiar students, families, and staff.
