Senior Citizens in front of the Integrated Learning House

Residents from Foxwood Springs Senior Living recently visited Ray-Pec’s Integrated Learning House for a meaningful intergenerational experience filled with connection, curiosity, and joy.

During the visit, students served as tour guides for this one-of-a-kind learning environment, sharing what they’re learning to cook and explaining how they select the household items that make the space feel like a home—from kitchen tools to bedroom and living room essentials. Each choice gives students the opportunity to practice real-life decision-making and build independence.

The visit concluded with a lively game of bingo, where students and seniors exchanged smiles, conversations, and plenty of laughter—demonstrating that learning and friendship truly have no age limit.

Moments like these matter. They build confidence, empathy, and a lasting sense of belonging for everyone involved.
