There’s something powerful about watching students come together to help others. As part of Ray-Pec’s CAN (Caring About Nutrition) program, these students rolled up their sleeves to pack weekend food bags for classmates who could use a little extra support.
What looks like simple sorting and packing is actually something much bigger: generosity in action. Each week, volunteers log donations, pull items for that week’s bags, and prepare deliveries for every school across the district. And when students step in to help, they aren’t receiving the food — they’re leading the charge, building real-world skills while lifting up their peers.
The CAN program, led by the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation, is fueled by countless donors and volunteers who show up with time, food, and heart. Their work ensures Ray-Pec students head into each weekend with nourishment and care.
Choice Happens Here — and this choice was kindness.
