Michelle Duran

Congratulations to Michelle Duran, Class of 2026, who has been named a National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist!

This honor places Michelle among the top 1% of high school students nationwide who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) as juniors. Fewer than 16,000 students across the country earn this recognition each year.

Principal Scott Bacon shared, “Michelle is a hardworking and thoughtful student who sets high goals for herself and follows through with determination. Beyond her academic achievements, she is respected by her teachers and peers for her character and leadership. We are proud to see her recognized in such a significant way."

The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the United States. Semifinalists like Michelle now have the chance to advance as Finalists and compete for nearly $28 million in scholarships.
