Select student artwork from Ray-Pec East Middle School was entered into the Cass County Student Art Show, which was sponsored by the Harrisonville Fine Arts Association. The show took place at the Harrisonville branch of the Cass County Public Library.
Two East Middle School sixh graders received ribbons for their artwork. Raiden Babcock earned 1st place for his needle felting sculpture. He also received a medal from the MAEA art conference student show. Adeline Goodwin earning 3rd place for her Bento box tic-tac toe game.
Seventh grader Sarah Soura earned first place for her painting (shown above). Two 8th graders received awards for their artwork, with Madelynn Purdie earning 1st place for her mixed media artwork while Kaylee Mitchell earned a merit ribbon for her mixed media sculpture.
The show was judged by the members of the Harrisonville Fine Arts Association.
