Make sure your student's immunizations are up to date for the new school year. This particularly impacts students entering kindergarten, 8th grade, and high school.
The Cass County Health Department is offering walk-in clinics July 31 through Aug. 18 for back to school immunizations. You may also obtain the vaccinations at your health care provider.

Missouri’s annual back-to-school sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday, August 4th, and runs through midnight on Sunday, August 6th. During this time, certain back-to-school purchases such as school supplies, computers, clothing, diapers, and other qualifying items as defined by statute are exempt from all state and local sales tax. 💻✏️🎒👕
New this year, in addition to the state sales tax, local sales tax will also be waived in all cities, counties, and special tax districts.

Most families can complete the required registration forms online. This means that you will not need to attend an in-person registration event.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Slagle traded shoes with 5th grader Keon for a bit today at Timber Creek Elementary School. Dr. Slagle said he loved Keon’s shark look!
With Field Day quickly approaching (Friday, May 19), we are in the process of selling our Field Day T-shirts. These shirts can be purchased for anyone in the family! One question from those FAQs is this: Why does the ballot language reference an increase?
The answer is this: When the debt service levy transfer question appears on the ballot, the District is asking voters: Can we shift existing tax contributions from one levy to the other, without changing the overall tax rate? The April ballot reflects the District's intention to increase the operating tax levy by 50 cents over three years and decrease the debt service tax levy by the same amount over three years to accomplish no net impact on the overall tax levy.
