Bus Routes are Posted!
I have been watching anxiously for the bus routes to be posted as much as all of you have. As of this morning, bus routes are posted on the district website: https://www.raypec.org/page/transportation
The pick-up times will be the same for preview day as they will be for a typical school day. The drop-off times will be different, as we will be dismissing students at 10:00am on Preview Day.
August 18: Freshman Preview Day
7:25 AM - 10:00 AM
Preview day is specifically designed to provide freshmen students an opportunity to spend a half-day in the morning on campus to experience what a typical day of high school will look like. It is an excellent opportunity for incoming students to familiarize themselves with the Ninth Grade Center and the high school experience. During Preview Day, students will be given the chance to tour the building, visit with their advisory groups, and meet the faculty members.
This event is for students only, and bus transportation will be provided by the district. Buses will run their normal morning routes at their normal morning times. We highly recommend this event for all of our incoming freshmen. Preview Day is presented by the Ray-Pec High School Student Leadership Team (SLT) and they would like to share the following video with families as we get ready for preview day. Students do not need to bring any materials or supplies with them for Preview Day.
Please check your students schedule tonight to ensure that it has not changed. The advisory teacher assigned to some students may have changed. It will be helpful for students to know who their advisory teacher is when attending Preview Day.
RPHS Student Leadership Team (SLT)
SLT is a leadership group at Ray-Pec High School whose mission is “Leading Peers to the next Generation of Successful Panthers.” Throughout the school year, their goal is to make every effort to help our incoming freshmen feel and learn the culture of being a Panther. Step one of this process is preview day, where the SLT will be there to help make this a great start to the school year. Over the past several years they have worked with our freshman students to help them feel proud to be a Panther and they will continue their work throughout this year with our students.
