Congratulations to the Ray-Pec High School Students of the Month for December! Noelle Sheldon and Patrick Martin are being recognized by the Belton-Raymore Rotary Club. Elsa Hamberg and Chandler Zuydendorp are being honored by the Ray-Pec Sunrise Optimist Club.




As part of the A+ program, 90 juniors and seniors from Raymore-Peculiar High School working throughout the district with students from pre-K through high school. The tutors are learning what it’s like to interact with students of different learning styles and abilities, and experiencing many of the perks of being in the classroom.






The School Board recognized four cross country runners who earned All-State honors at the State Class 5 Cross Country Championships on Nov. 4 in Columbia.
The girls placed 5th overall as a team, with Maya York and Ashlyn Smith finishing 6th and 14th respectively to claim All-State honors as individuals.
The boys placed 7th as a team, with Gabe Voelker and Carter Younger finishing 10th and 15th respectively to claim All-State honors as individuals.

The School Board on Nov. 16 recognized the Ray-Pec High School Softball Team for finishing the season with a record of 33-3 and third place in the MSHSAA Class 5 state tournament.
Three players were selected to the All-State Teams. Kelsie Donaldson and Hayden Kurtz received First Team All-State Honors, while Carmen Boxberger was named to the Second Team All-State.

Conference Champs and District Runners Up! ⚽
The boys gave Rockhurst everything they could handle. They took the undefeated Hawklets to extra time but, with a 3-2 loss, the Boys' Soccer season has come to an end. After a 5-5 start, the team rallied to win 10 of their last 12 games and come within minutes of punching their ticket to the State Tournament.

With their 2-0 win over Blue Springs South last night, the Boys' Soccer team are Conference Champs! 🏆⚽️
District play begins tomorrow as your 3rd seeded Panthers take on the 6-seed, Joplin High School, at 4:00 pm. All District Tournament games will be held at Lee's Summit West this year.

Grant To Purchase Supplies For SoS National Gratitude Month
High School Teacher Patrick Hemmingsen received a $479 grant to purchase supplies for Sources of Strength National Gratitude Month.

Ray-Pec High School and Ninth Grade Center students were excited to work with members of the Kansas City Symphony yesterday. Orchestra experts came to work with the students on their All-District materials. The students got to work in sectionals with Kansas City Symphony members that play their specific instrument! What a great day to be a Ray-Pec Orchestra member and team up with these community mentors!

With a 5-0 win over Neosho, the Lady Panthers Softball team are the 2023 District 7 Champions! 🏆 They advance to the state quarterfinals where they will HOST Liberty High School on October 21st.

The Panther Pride Marching Band had a great weekend of performances this weekend at the Odessa Marching Invitational. In the category of indoor performances the drumline earned 1st place and the color guard earned 2nd place. In the outdoor field show performance the Panther Pride earned 1st in field show, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, and Outstanding Effect. Our drum majors, Riley Zimmerman & Arianna Cooper earned the Outstanding Drum Major Award! It was a great weekend! Please give the marching band kids a high five!

Congrats to the cross country teams on their outstanding performances this weekend at the Suburban Gold Conference Championships. The boys placed 2nd overall while the girls tied for 1st, but ended up 2nd after the tie-breaker. First team all-conference awards go to Gabe Voelker, Carter Younger, Maya York, and the Individual Champion Ashlyn Smith. Second team all-conference awards go to Andres Kemper, Chase Davis, Ellie Barker, and Isabel Chatfield.

Mr. Bacon, principal, awarded senior Cayleigh Tyus with the 1st Proud Panther Prize. She has demonstrated outstanding Respect & Responsibility all month long with excellent academic grades, no tardies, and no discipline referrals. Cayleigh is a true role model, as a cheerleader on the Varsity Squad, she also loves math, with Mr. Zendejas being her favorite math teacher. Way to go, Cayleigh! Keep up the amazing work!

Today the 2023 Distinguished Alumni were honored at a luncheon put on by the Raymore-Peculiar Public School Foundation for their wonderful accomplishments and tremendous service to their communities! 👏
