The Raymore-Peculiar School District celebrated the opening of the Ray-Pec LEAD Center with a dedication ceremony on Sept. 27. The LEAD Center is located at M-58 and Foxridge Drive in Raymore. LEAD stands for Learning, Experiences, And Discovery.

During the event, four students, representing program areas now offered at the facility, spoke about what the LEAD Center experience means to them. (See below)

The LEAD Center is a unique facility that includes:

  • a computer-integrated machining program,
  • the Enterprise & Design program,
  • electrical studies,
  • a teacher academy program,
  • a space for special needs students, and
  • co-location with a business.
