Adjusted Bell Schedule

To comply with Missouri Senate Bill 727, the District will increase the number of instructional days from 163 to 169 in the 2025-2026 school year. Start and end of day times will change too.

The new law requires all Missouri public schools with 30,000 residents or more to provide at least 169 student contact days.

The Raymore-Peculiar School District attendance boundaries include portions of cities, such as Lee's Summit, that exceed 30,000.

Adding these six days to the calendar means there will be fewer full days off during the year. To balance the longer instructional calendar while still providing essential time for staff collaboration and planning, the District has adjusted start and end times for many schools.

Most schools will see changes of just a few minutes, while others will experience larger adjustments. A variety of factors were considered in setting the new schedule, including bus routes, building operations, and the need to preserve time for teachers and staff to work together to support student learning.

Teachers and staff are already planning ways to make the most of the additional instructional time to enrich lessons, reinforce key concepts, and support each student’s growth.

See the updated bell times below and watch for additional details from your child’s school as we approach the start of the school year.

We appreciate your flexibility and partnership as we make these changes to better serve students, support our teachers, and meet state requirements. Thank you for your continued support.
