๐Ÿ’› RubyMae, we are SO proud of you for being such a helpful and caring friend! Stopping what you were doing to help a classmate clean up their spilled pencil box shows kindness, responsibility, and a big heart. Those little moments make a BIG difference in our classroom.

Way to go, RubyMae โ€” you are a shining example of what it means to be a Helpful & Kind Kiddo! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘

Our incredible Shull students earned a Glow Party yesterday, and the excitement was glowing! Everyone had such a great time celebrating their hard work, positive behavior, and school spirit. The energy in the room was contagious, and with all the dancing, laughing, and glowing accessories, it was nearly impossible to capture it all on camera. What an awesome way to reward our studentsโ€”way to go, Shull Sharks!โœจ๐Ÿ’™

โ„๏ธโ˜• Winter Learning in Our EC Classrooms! โ˜ƒ๏ธโ„๏ธ

Our early childhood learners have been busy exploring winter through hands-on learning! Students measured โ€œHow many snowballs tall are you?โ€, counted marshmallows in their painted hot cocoa cups, and used their thinking skills to explain why the snowman melted. Through play, creativity, and conversation, our boys and girls are building math, science, and language skillsโ€”while having so much fun along the way! ๐Ÿ’™

Ray-Pec plans to have in-person school tomorrow. We donโ€™t usually send a message when schools are going to be OPEN, but after last week, it seems like a good idea! If there is a change to our plans for tomorrow, we will communicate by 5:30 a.m. Please remember to use caution while driving, especially in the southern parts of the district; be patient about possible bus delays, and make sure that students dress warmly. Monday morning temperatures are predicted to be cold!

Blue background with the words: Back to School!
Due to the severe winter weather conditions, there will be no school on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. This will be a traditional inclement weather day and no virtual learning classes will be held. This is a significant storm that will take time to clear and make roadways and walkways passable. Our goal is to have students back in our buildings as soon as we can, but we realize that the timing and severity of this storm presents us with challenges. Our Ray-Pec building and grounds crews will continue to work with our citiesโ€™ and county public works departments and our bus transportation provider to bring us back to workable conditions as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. A decision as to how to make up todayโ€™s inclement weather day will be made later in the school year. Activities All elementary school, middle school, and high school after-school activities and evening events will be canceled and/or rescheduled. Child Care BOOST (Best Out of School Time) is the program that provides before- and after-school care. BOOST will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6.
