Homecoming

Homecoming week for Ray-Pec High School is September 18th - 23rd. Ninth grade students are able to participate in the homecoming dance. Tickets to the dance will be on sale on Wednesday, September 13th during lunch. Cost for tickets to the dance are $15 if purchased in advance or $20 at the gate. Homecoming T-Shirts will also be on sale on Wednesday, September 13th during lunch.

The dance will be held at Panther Stadium on the campus of Ray-Pec High School on Saturday, September 23rd from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm. All students will be required to show their student ID at the gate in order to be admitted to the dance.

If your child would like to bring a guest from out of the school district, they will need to go to the front office to pick up a Homecoming Dance Guest Form. This form will need to be filled out and returned to the front office no later than Wednesday, September 20th at 3:00 pm. All guests must be at minimum a freshman in high school and under the age of 21. Guests must present a valid photo ID (school ID or driver’s license) at the time of admittance to the dance.

If students plan to go to Unity Village to take pictures for homecoming, please see the following message from Unity Village:

As many events are scheduled at Unity Village this fall, we want to remind students and faculty that, in the event there is a wedding or reception at the Fountain Courtyard, students will need to make arrangements to take their photos at an alternate location on grounds. When the courtyard is closed, there will be signs indicating the courtyard is closed. The courtyard will be closed on September 23rd, due to an event. Feel free to contact Unity Village with any questions at 816-251-3517.

Picture Retake Day

If your student missed picture day, please mark your calendar for Picture Retake Day on October 3, 2023.

School Schedule

A reminder that classes begin at 7:25am and end at 2:35 pm daily. If you are bringing your child or picking them up from school, please make sure you are allowing plenty of time for them to arrive to class and picking them up promptly at the end of the day.

Canvas and SIS

Now that we have a few weeks behind us, please check Canvas and SIS regularly. Students have been getting assignments from their teachers that will be updated in SIS. Teachers are encouraged to update grades in SIS at least every two weeks. It is so important to start the school year off on a positive note as opposed to trying to play catch up. Encourage your child to complete all work with their best efforts and reach out to their teachers to advocate for themselves if they need assistance.
