COLLEGE RESOURCES

Benefits of taking IB classes:

  • Participation in college level classes with college level expectations and work

  • Increased college acceptance rates

  • Potential for college scholarships/in-state tuition

  • Potential for earning college hours

  • Potential for inclusion in college honors programs

It is important for parents and students to understand that not all colleges and universities accept IB credit, but IB is a rapidly growing organization that is accepted by more post-secondary schools each year.

The following link provides a list of the schools that many Ray-Pec grads attend and what these schools will give credit to for IB and AP scores.

College Credit for AP/IB Courses

Earning College Credit in IB Courses

Depending on the college or university students ultimately select and the IB scores they earn, students can potentially earn college credit in the IB courses they take.

The Raymore-Peculiar School District is not responsible for any changes that colleges/universities make in course approval scores. Students and parents must do their own research to confirm the accuracy of what a college/university will accept.
