Ray-Pec High School and LEAD Center students recently showcased their talents at the Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) Student Showcase, where they presented their work on the Integrated Learning House project.
Through Real World Learning (RWL) projects in Interior Design, HVAC, and Electrical courses, students gained valuable hands-on experience, built technical expertise, and developed career-ready skills. During the showcase, they shared their roles, reflected on what they learned, and discussed the rewards of collaborating across programs.
At the October Board of Education meeting, these students were recognized for representing Ray-Pec through statewide panels and presentations: Nissa Vitti, Ava McCrae, Olivia McVay, Ethan Huffman, Clint Olson, Ben Ackley, and Ethan Beedle.
Nissa Vitti served as a panelist on the Summit Technical Academy (STA) Student Panel, sharing her perspective as a student leader.
Ava McCrae and Olivia McVay, from the Enterprise & Design Program, discussed the creative process behind designing the Integrated Learning House.
Ethan Huffman and Clint Olson, from the LEAD Center’s HVAC Program, highlighted the value of hands-on learning in building the home.
Ben Ackley and Ethan Beedle, from the Electrical Studies Program, showcased their technical expertise and craftsmanship that helped bring the project to life.
Each of these students demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and Panther Pride—showing that when skill and collaboration come together, they build not just houses, but bright futures.
