Summer School 2023

Online registration is now closed. Please contact summer.school@raypec.org if you would like to be placed on the waiting list --we can't guarantee wait-listed students transportation to or from school on the first day.

Students will enroll in the grade level they will enter for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dates for Summer School 2023

  1. Session 1: Elementary and Middle School - June 5 to June 29, Monday through Thursday, virtual and in-person. (As June 19 is a holiday, students will attend on June 23.)

  2. Session 1: High School - June 5 to June 30, Monday through Friday, virtual and in-person. (No classes on June 19.)

  3. Session 2: All grades - July 5 to July 31. Virtual only.

New this year - different start times!

Class times for Summer School 2023 feature a later start for middle school and high school students.

  • Elementary start/end times: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a 20-minute lunch

  • Middle School start/end times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a 20-minute lunch

  • High School start/end times: 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. The afternoon session is virtual. Breakfast is available from 8:30 to 8:50 a.m.

Elementary and middle school overview

  • Summer School for elementary and middle school students provides remediation and enrichment in two-week units (8 days) that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

  • The program for K-5 students includes thematic courses with physical education (or other elective.)

  • The program for grades 6-8 includes thematic courses with electives options.

  • Reading Intervention, Launch Online learning courses, and in-person remediation will be available.

High school information

  • High School students have the option for credit recovery, online coursework, and expanded course options.

  • Course options include math remediation, physical education and health, personal finance, Launch online learning courses, VIPR online learning courses, and Edudrone (full day course).

  • Parent letter for students entering grades 9-12

Transportation

Transportation is provided for all K-12 students, as needed. Morning and afternoon transportation is available. New this year: As in-person high school classes will be a half-day program, mid-day transportation will be provided to high school students only.
