About the LEAD Center

The LEAD Center is located at M-58 and Foxridge Drive in Raymore. LEAD stands for Learning, Experiences, And Discovery.

The District purchased the building in February 2021 to provide additional opportunities for students in the area of career oriented education and real world learning experience. The facility, which has about 41,000 square feet, had been vacant for several years.

The district’s Machining Program, previously located on the main Ray-Pec campus, is now housed at the LEAD Center. The Ray-Pec Enterprise & Design program has also been relocated to the LEAD Center. New for 2022-2023 are the Electrical Studies and Teacher Academy programs.

A Carpentry program is scheduled to begin in the 2023-2024 school year.

Other programs being considered for the LEAD Center include: heating and cooling (HVAC), plumbing, automation and robotics, and pharmacy technician. A planning committee is working to determine what programs will be offered at the LEAD Center, and when those programs will begin.

Business Partnerships

If you're interested in in working with students at the LEAD Center, please contact Sam Johnson, the Community Partnership Director for the district. We are always looking to expand our list of business partners in order to offer our students the most diverse options to possible. Working directly with our business community in the area is one of the most important ways that we can prepare students to enter the world beyond our walls.

If you have a problem you'd like our students to solve, are interested in hosting an intern, or just want to know more about how you could help, please don't hesitate to reach out.
